A typical player to see
the entirety of FFXIII?
MT: Well, we want to
maintain the volume of previous FF
games, so you can expect FFXIII to be just as long.
OPS: And when can we
expect to see FFXIII released? We’re
dying to play it…

still haven’t set a release date.

It’s clear from Motomu
Toriyama’s response that SE is
putting most of its weight into FF XIII, and as he revealed, what was
thought
to be a trilogy is actually set to become even more expansive. We’re
particularly
interested in prospect of spin off games, which may be a philistine
thing to
say, but Crisis Core: FF VII and Dirge of Cerberus have shown that SE
can
successfully diversify its leading series (and, of course, going
further into
depth SE’s back catalogue, Brave Fencer Musashinden and Ergheiz were

Special Box: Lightning
Quick: FFXIII’s lead protagonist is
one of the coolest FF character since Cloud. And just as Cloud had his
own
enormous blade, Lightning has a weapon to fear: the gunblade. Lightning
also
has a Gravity Bomb at her disposal, which can be used to quickly put an
elecVrical Shield as a defense tactic in battle. Although he remains
unnamed,
one of Lightning’s comrades was revealed at December’s Jump Festa show
in Tokyo,..
The blond figure (picture above) looks like a tough guy – he rides a
motorbike,
after all, wear a bandana – and his role seems to be that of
Lightning’s
bodyguard, as he often comes to her defense with his trust gun. Other
than
these two playable characters, nothing is know about FFXIII-‘s line up.
